Why this feature exists

New movers rarely need a whole guide — they need one answer fast. This is a single scroll for the top questions.

Before You Begin

Nothing required. Skim, then dive into specific articles when you want more detail.

Getting started

How do I sign up? Go to /apply. Create an account, complete the 10-step application, wait for approval. See: Creating your mover account and Completing the mover application.

How long is approval? 2–5 business days end-to-end. See: How admin approval works.

Is there a fee to join? No. The platform earns 10% of gross labor at payout.

Profile & rates

Where do I set my rate? /mover/rate. Between $35 and $75 for most movers. See: Setting your rate and tier eligibility.

Can I edit my profile after approval? Yes, any section from /mover/profile. See: Completing your profile after approval.

Why am I stuck at Standard tier? Verified equipment counts, not entered counts. Complete moves and have customers confirm gear. See: Skills and equipment.

Jobs & scheduling

Where do I find jobs? /mover/board for open listings, direct invites arrive on /mover. See: Finding jobs on the Move Board.

How do I block dates? /mover/calendar, click a date, block. See: Calendar and availability.

How fast should I respond to invites? Within an hour is ideal. 24 hours before auto-expiry.

Move day

How do I check in? /mover/timeclock, mark En Route, mark Arrived, enter customer's 4-digit Move PIN. See: Checking in with the Move PIN.

When does the clock start? At PIN check-in. See: Time tracking during a move.

What if I need to leave early? Tap Leave Early on /mover/timeclock. You get paid for time worked. See: Early departure, no-show, and removal.

Something broke — what now? File a damage report before marking complete. See: Damage reporting responsibility.

Payments

When do I get paid? After the customer releases (or 72 hours auto-release), 2 business days to your bank via Stripe. See: Getting paid.

What is the platform fee? 10% of gross labor. Fuel reimbursements pass through 100%.

Do I get a 1099? Yes, from Stripe if you earn $600+ in a year.

Performance

What is Quality Score? A 0–100 blend of rating, preparedness, on-time, acceptance, and damage/cancellation penalties. See: Understanding your Quality Score.

How do I climb the directory? Complete moves, earn 5-star reviews, show up on time, keep gear verified.

Company affiliation

Can I work for a moving company through the platform? Yes. Request affiliation from your company owner during application or later from /mover/companies.

How do company compensation splits work? Owner and mover agree in a Company Compensation Agreement. Splits apply after platform fee, before payout. Full detail is under development as a standalone article — for now, contact your company owner for specifics.

Communication

How do I message customers? From the move detail page. In-app messaging keeps everything auditable.

Can customers see my phone number? Not until you accept a direct invite and both sides opt in.

Support

How do I contact support? /mover/support from your dashboard. Include your reference ID or move ID.

Where is the appeals process? Any decision (rating hidden, damage claim, removal) can be appealed within 30 days from /mover/support.
