Accessibility Statement

We build toward WCAG 2.1 AA, and we list what still falls short. If something blocks you, we want to hear about it.

Effective August 12, 2026

1. Our commitment

Moving is stressful enough. Everyone should be able to post a move, review movers, and manage move day without fighting the interface.

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the public site and all three dashboards.

2. What we have built in

  • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate every page.
  • Keyboard access for every interactive control, with visible focus states.
  • Text and interface colors checked against AA contrast ratios.
  • Text alternatives for images, icons, and verification badges.
  • Forms with real labels, clear error messages, and no reliance on color alone.
  • Layouts that reflow to 320px width and support browser zoom to 200%.

3. Known gaps

We are honest about what is not finished yet.

  • Some uploaded mover gallery photos have generic alternative text.
  • The move day live timer announces updates visually before it announces them to screen readers.
  • Long data tables in the admin operations center are hard to use on a small screen.

These are on the roadmap and this page will be updated as they close.

4. Report a barrier

If something on this site blocks you, tell us. Email accessibility@movegigsboard.com with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology you use.

We respond within three business days and will give you a way to complete the task in the meantime, including over the phone if that is easier.
