How Move Gigs Board works

The full customer journey: post, build your team, reserve, move, pay — end to end.

Overview

Move Gigs Board is built around a single customer journey. Every screen you see in the customer dashboard maps to one of seven stages.

The seven stages

  1. Posted — your move is live and visible to qualified movers.
  2. Building — movers are applying; you're reviewing profiles.
  3. Reserved — your crew is locked in; the $49 booking fee is charged.
  4. Active — move day; the 24-hour balance hold is authorized; movers check in with the Move PIN.
  5. Verification — the crew has finished; you review hours and approve.
  6. Paid — you released payment; funds are captured and routed to movers.
  7. Completed — post-move; reviews and any damage reports go here.

Where to find each stage

Your customer dashboard shows a Journey Tracker at the top of every move. It highlights the current stage and shows what's next.

What the platform does automatically

  • Advances your journey stage as movers accept, check in, and complete.
  • Sends notifications (email + in-app) for each transition.
  • Generates the Move PIN when payment funds are held.
  • Authorizes the balance charge 24 hours before your move.
  • Recalculates each mover's Quality Score after your move completes.

What you do at each stage

  • Posted: monitor applications. Message applicants with questions.
  • Building: add movers to your team. Reserve when the team is full.
  • Reserved: confirm access details with your crew. Prep boxes and rooms.
  • Active: share the Move PIN as movers arrive. Answer questions.
  • Verification: review hours. Approve or adjust.
  • Paid: release payment.
  • Completed: leave a review. Report any damage.

Helpful tips

  • The dashboard shows one "What's next" card at all times — follow it and you'll never miss a step.
  • Notifications go to email and to your phone if you have the mobile web app installed.

Common mistakes

  • Missing the balance authorization window because your card was low. Fund the card 48 hours before the move.
  • Not sharing the PIN promptly on move day, which delays the start.
