Payment: booking fee and day-before balance
A flat $49 booking fee reserves your crew. Your booked move balance is charged the day before your move.
Overview
Move Gigs Board splits payment into two parts: a flat $49 booking fee when you reserve your crew, and your booked move balance charged the day before your move.
Purpose
This keeps your crew locked in, gives you time to cancel or edit, and means there are no surprise charges on move day.
How it works
- Reserve your crew. After building your crew, tap Reserve crew. The flat $49 booking fee is charged immediately and your payment method is saved.
- The day before. Your booked move balance — labor for the booked hours plus fuel reimbursement — is charged to your saved payment method.
- Move day. Each mover enters your Move PIN on arrival. The PIN verifies they showed up and starts their individual time clock.
- After the work. Review the recorded hours, sign the completion form, add a tip if you'd like, then tap Pay My Movers. If the crew worked beyond the booked hours, the exact additional amount is shown on the form before you sign.
Helpful tips
- Keep a working card on file. If the day-before charge fails, we email you and your crew stays reserved while you update it.
- Book the hours you actually expect. You pay for the booked time even if the move finishes early.
- Everything is itemized: labor, crew size, hours, fuel, the $49 fee, tips, and the total.
Frequently asked questions
Is the $49 fee refundable? It is refunded if you cancel more than 48 hours before your move.
What if the move runs long? The additional amount is calculated from verified time and shown on the completion form. You authorize the exact amount with your signature.
Does the Move PIN release money? No. The Move PIN verifies arrival and starts the time clock. Payment to your crew happens when you tap Pay My Movers.
