Rescheduling a move
Move your date after reservation. What resets, what stays, and what you owe.
Overview
Life happens. You can reschedule a reserved move once you're inside your customer dashboard. Depending on how close to the move day you reschedule, some items may reset.
Purpose
Rescheduling keeps your booking intact — same crew, same rate — while shifting the date.
When to use it
- Closing on your new home slipped.
- Weather forces a change.
- Your rental truck reservation moved.
Step-by-step
- Open the move from your customer dashboard.
- Tap Reschedule move.
- Pick the new date and time window.
- Confirm. Every mover on the crew gets a notification and must confirm the new date.

What happens next
- Each mover confirms or declines the new date. If a mover can't make it, you can invite a replacement — see Building your move team.
- The 24-hour balance authorization resets to 24 hours before the new date.
- Your $49 booking fee stays applied.
Helpful tips
- Reschedule as early as possible. The more notice movers have, the more likely your original crew stays intact.
- If you're rescheduling less than 24 hours out, the balance may have already authorized — the hold is released and re-authorized against the new date.
Common mistakes
- Waiting until the day of the move to reschedule. You may lose crew members and be charged for last-minute cancellation.
- Rescheduling to a date more than 60 days out. Some movers close their calendars that far in advance.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to re-pay the $49 fee? No. It carries over.
What if a mover can't make the new date? They'll decline and you can invite a replacement.
Troubleshooting
- New date isn't accepting — the date is closed on your movers' calendars. Try a different date or invite a replacement.
