Move PIN and check-in
Your 6-digit Move PIN starts each mover's clock — no PIN, no paid hours.
Overview
When your reservation is funded, the platform generates a unique 6-digit Move PIN for the move. Movers can only clock in by entering this PIN with you present.
Purpose
The PIN protects everyone. It confirms movers are actually on-site, prevents time inflation, and gives you control over when the paid clock starts.
When to use it
On move day, when a mover arrives and you're ready for them to begin work.
Step-by-step
- On move day, open the move from your dashboard. The Move PIN shows at the top of the screen.
- When a mover arrives, they open their mover app and tap Check in.
- Read them the 6-digit PIN (or show your screen).
- Once they enter it correctly, their status changes to Working and their timer starts.
- Each mover checks in individually. You'll see everyone's status in real time.

Independent tracking
Every mover checks in and out separately. If one mover arrives early and another is stuck in traffic, that's fine — the platform tracks each timer on its own.
Helpful tips
- Don't give the PIN out ahead of time. Wait until the mover is on-site and ready to start.
- If a mover forgot the app, they can also use the mover web dashboard on any browser.
- The PIN doesn't change — same PIN for all movers on this move.
Common mistakes
- Sharing the PIN in advance and having a mover check in from their car in the driveway before they've unloaded tools.
- Not checking who has checked in — glance at the crew status list on your dashboard.
Frequently asked questions
What if a mover can't check in? They can ask you to open a support case, or they can start working and we'll adjust hours after verification.
Does the PIN work for check-out too? No. Check-out is handled from the mover's app when work is complete. You verify hours during the verification step.
Where do I find the PIN if the move screen won't load? The PIN is also emailed to you 24 hours before the move.
Troubleshooting
- PIN not showing — your reservation may not be fully funded. Confirm in the payment section.
- "Invalid PIN" — double-check the 6 digits; PINs are unique per move.
