Trust & safety

Vetted before they show up. Scored on real work.

Every mover on Move Gigs Board is a real, verified person with a real track record. Here's exactly how we vet them — and what happens if something goes wrong.

How we vet every mover

Identity verified

Government ID and selfie match on record before a profile can go live.

Background check

Criminal background check completed during onboarding. Status shown on every profile.

Skills reviewed

Movers list their specialties (piano, safe, packing, long-distance) and our team reviews before verification.

Equipment verified

Photos of dollies, straps, pads, and vehicles are reviewed. Verified equipment unlocks higher tiers.

Quality Score

A composite score built from real completed moves: rating, preparedness, on-time arrival, damage-free rate, acceptance rate.

Verified reviews only

Reviews only come from customers whose booking was completed through the platform. No fake stars.

On move day

  • • Every crew member checks in with a unique PIN so you know the right people are on-site.
  • • The crew clocks in and out at your job — the app tracks hours worked automatically.
  • • You can message your crew directly through the platform. Nothing off-channel required.
  • • If something feels off, contact support and we'll work through it with you and the crew.

If something gets damaged

File a damage claim from your booking within 72 hours of the move. Upload photos and a short description. Every claim is reviewed by our team, and the mover is notified and gets to respond.

Damage history is public on every mover's profile. It's one of the few things we won't let a mover hide — a clean record is a real record.

Independent movers carry their own coverage where required by their state. Coverage details are listed on each profile.

Reporting a serious issue

If you experience harassment, unsafe behavior, or anything criminal, report it immediately from your booking or by emailing our safety team. Serious violations result in immediate removal from the board and, where appropriate, escalation to local authorities.
